Balsa Sandwich HDF specifications

This panel has a balsa core with a poplar or okoume plywood toplayer. The main applications are for architectural and construction: doors and wall panels. For Marine it is used as interiors, doors, roof/wall panels and covers. For the Road and Rail, this balsa sandwich is used as floors, roof panels, interiors, cabins, doors and covers. Characteristics Balsa Sandwich HDF

Some of the characteristics, which also can be found in the PDF document, are:

• Extremely high strength and stiffness to weight ratio;
• High impact strength;
• Excellent fatigue resistance;
• Wide operating temperature range -212 C to +163 C (-414 F to +325 F);
• Good sound and thermal insulation
• Good moisture resistance
